‘Razorback’ is a word that evokes images of rugged peaks, and a harsh, but beautiful, landscape. That’s definitely true of the vineyard that we have sourced this wine from. It is grown in the Tussock Ridge Vineyard, on the north side of the Clutha River, in between Clyde and Alexandra. This wine is an assemblage of Clones 5, 115, 667 and 777. Hand harvested and then barrel aged for seven months (20% new). The wine came out of barrel at the start of March 2016, received a light fining and was bottled on 18 April 2016.
