Colour:	The 2013 Syrahs have beautiful colour. It is deep, lustrous and bright.
Bouquet:	The essence of Hawkes Bay Syrah: masses of red/black fruits, a touch of pepper, some background meatiness and lovely, savoury oak.
Palate:	A beautifully structured wine. Full bodied with silken tannins and great length. The fruit in the mid palate lasts and lasts.

Cellaring
Given how fine grained the tannins are in this wine, it looks as though it will be immediately approachable and wine cellar happily into the medium term.

"A youthful, lively syrah that’s still very fresh at four years of age. Inviting berry aromas have touches of violet, mocha and spice. It’s medium bodied, lush in fruit, and satisfyingly constructed, with a tight underpinning of tannins keeping it all together. A wintry lamb pie beckons." Cuisine
