Not heavy, but with great depth of flavour, it shows maturity balancing sweet citrus and grapefruit aromas with delicate oak and nut overtones.

Our 2018 Plainsman SV Chardonnay is based on a single parcel of fruit from a block in Koropiko. Vintage 2018 was very challenging in Hawkes Bay and we were delighted to be able to harvest this block in beautiful condition. Post pressing and settling, the juice was run off to seasoned barrels for fermentation and MLF. Post MLF, the wine stayed in those barrel, on full lees, until February 2019. The wine was bottled at the start of May 2019.

| Colour: | Very pale gold in the glass at bottling, but will slowly deepen with time. |

| Palate: | This is a medium weight, rich Chardonnay. It has sweet fruit, beautiful texture and length. |
