Summer Sunday Jazz
Every summer Coopers Creek puts on a season of laid back jazz (or sometimes "that's nothing like Jazz!" to the purists) on Sunday afternoons at our vineyard in Huapai, an easy 25 minutes from downtown Auckland.
These are free concerts for our customers, there is an expectation that our wine will be purchased. (I know, should go without saying, but unfortunately......)
Dogs and children, who are both welcome, are excepted from this expectation.
Bands play 1 – 4pm, and the Cellar Door is open 10.30am – 5.30pm.
You are welcome to bring a picnic and we have delicious cheese and fruit platters available. This year we also have a food truck on site, serving delicious hot savoury treats. Please note absolutely no BYO wine. Light beer, soft drinks, Kohu Road ice creams and barista coffee available, as well as fantastic wine!

The 2021 season of Summer Sunday, Jazz? starts on 17th January and runs through to Easter.
There will be a concert on Easter Sunday, April 14h, dependent on a Special Licence being granted,
and there will be an Easter Monday concert April 5th.

Trudy Lile & Mojave - Jan 17th
New Zealand born jazz flutist and vocalist Trudy Lile is well known to audiences around New Zealand jazz festivals, and has been a regular feature to Coopers Creek audiences, performing with her band Mojave who are considered some of New Zealand’s finest professional jazz musicians. The repertoire is a fresh, sophisticated and energetic blend of great things jazz and Latin with a warm infectious groove delivered with cheek and wit! www.trudylile.co.nz
Auckland Big Band - Jan 24th
Auckland Big Band are a community group formed of players from all around the world with the aim of bringing more playing and listening opportunities to the people of Auckland. Founded in June 2017, we encourage musicians of all ages and backgrounds to come together to play in a friendly and relaxed environment, and have fun whilst doing so! We played our first ever gig in November 2017 and have since played in venues all across Auckland. Rehearsing regularly on Tuesday nights, we play from a range of genres and our repertoire is ever growing!
Maria O’Flaherty & Ben Fernandez Quartet - Jan 31st
A talented band of Auckland based musicians with their own unique style and vibrant performances. Their repertoire stretches from lively renditions of Jazz standards, Latin and folk influences, French Chanson & funky grooves.
