Summer Sunday Jazz

Every summer Coopers Creek puts on a season of laid back jazz on Sunday afternoons at our vineyard in Huapai, an easy 25 minutes from downtown Auckland.

These are free concerts for our customers, there is an expectation that our wine will be purchased. (I know, should go without saying, but unfortunately......)
Dogs and children, who are both welcome, are excepted from this expectation.

Bands play 1 – 4pm, and the Cellar Door is open 10.30am – 5.30pm.

You are welcome to bring a picnic and we have delicious cheese and fruit platters available. Please note absolutely no BYO wine. Light beer, soft drinks, Kohu Road ice creams and barista coffee available, as well as fantastic wine!

Phone (09) 4128560 or check our Facebook page on the day if the weather looks a little damp.

The 2020 season of Summer Sunday Jazz starts on 12th January and runs through to April.
There will hopefully be a concert on Easter Sunday, April 12th, dependent on a Special Licence being granted,
and there will be an Easter Monday concert. Weather patterns permitting, we'll extend the season until Sunday April 19th.

The entire line up for the 2020 season is available here.

Otherwise January's bands are:

Trudy Lile & Mojave - Jan 12th

New Zealand born jazz flutist and vocalist Trudy Lile is well known to audiences around New Zealand jazz festivals, and has been a regular feature to Coopers Creek audiences, performing with her band Mojave who are considered some of New Zealand’s finest professional jazz musicians. The repertoire is a fresh, sophisticated and energetic blend of great things jazz and latin with a warm infectious groove delivered with cheek and wit! www.trudylile.co.nz

Auckland Big Band - Jan 19th

From our first rehearsal in a garage in 2017, Auckland Big Band has grown into a global community band with members from over a dozen countries. If you know these names, or you’re just curious, come and check us out!

The De Sotos - Jan 26th

Fuelled by a powerful blend of rock-infused country blues, The DeSotos combine rich harmonies with reverberant guitar sounds, chunky bass runs and warm flourishes of Hammond organ.
