The Blue Jaffas
This widely experienced quartet plays cool rhythms that blend flavours of Soul and Jazz with a sprinkling of the US South. The Jaffas are :
Keith Prictor…guitar & vocals, Rick Cotter…drums & vocals, Greg O’Donnell…bass & vocals, Mal Smith…keyboards. Their song list is a mix of original tunes and Jaffa versions of selected favourites, with the focus always being on the heartbeat of the music.
Trudy Lile & Mojave
New Zealand born jazz flutist and vocalist Trudy Lile is well known to audiences around New Zealand jazz festivals, and has been a regular feature to Coopers Creek audiences. Performing with her band Mojave who are considered some of New Zealand’s finest professional jazz musicians. The repertoire is a fresh, sophisticated and energetic blend of great things jazz and latin with a warm infectious groove delivered with cheek and wit!
Maria O’Flaherty & Ben Fernandez Quartet – Impressions
Their repertoire stretches from lively renditions of jazz standards and a mix of bebop, blues, sambas, bossa novas and funk. This polished band is full of energy and a highlight at many jazz festivals. Featuring the gorgeous tones of

The Mira Lacey Trio
Mira is rapidly gaining recognition for her exquisite alto voice and lush renditions of jazz ballads, bossa-novas, boleros, swing and blues. An honours graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Mira brings a wealth of experience, depth and passion to each performance.
Mark Baynes, on keys, is a well respected musician and teacher at Auckland University and Massey University, who has worked with many top performers both locally and internationally. Rounding out this talented trio is the inimitable
Aaron Coddell on double bass.

Lewis McCallum
Lewis McCallum is one of Auckland’s most versatile and exciting saxophonists. He fuses his deep knowledge of jazz with modern forms of dance and beats culture to form a truly unique sound. Lewis has enjoyed success both in New Zealand and overseas. In 1995 he won New Zealand’s Best Young Saxophonist and has since gone on to play with the likes of the late Ray Charles and Manhattan Transfer as well as New Zealand’s Opensouls, Hollie Smith, the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra and highly acclaimed group Relaxomatic Project.
Danni Bear & Westwood Terrace
Danni Bear & Westwood Tce were born at 1 Westwood Tce in Ponsonby. They are an Auckland-based 4 piece ensemble, playing a mixture of their own original music as well as well-known covers. Its members are all accomplished and passionate musicians, with many years of experience. Danni Bear has recently released 2 new singles currently gaining momentum in the NZ music scene. Her gorgeously soulful voice simultaneously transports you to a smoke-filled room and your warm bed on a rainy Sunday morning. The ensemble is made up of:
